Falcon DVB-ASI Output Module MUX¸ðµâ·Î ºÎÅÍ ATM ½ÅÈ£¸¦ ¹Þ¾Æ 2°³ÀÇ ASI¸¦ Ãâ·ÂÇÏ´Â Àåºñ º¸Á¶ ATM ÀÔ·Â TS rate 1.5~160Mbps • Redundant ATM input • Automatic protection switching • Full VPI/VCI range • AAL1, AAL1 FEC and AAL5 support • High performance adaptive clock recovery • TS rates from 1.5 to 160 Mbps • 2 ASI output signals • 188- and 204 Byte TS-Packet size • Generation of MPEG Reed-Solomon • DVB-ASI Byte- and Packet mode • Local CPU • Local storage of configuration parameters • Hot-Swap and Hot-Plug Application The DVB-ASI output card converts a received ATM cell stream, either by the use of AAL1 (ATM Adaptation Layer 1, CBR) or AAL5 (rtVBR) to a DVB ASI MPEG TS (SPTS or MPTS) with a constant TS rate. The card receives the ATM cell stream on 2 high-speed serial links in parallel supporting protection switching on ATM level. An automatic protection switching is performed in case of a LOS (Loss of the ATM cell stream). The TS rate of the received cell MPEG-TS is re-generated by the use of an adaptive clock recovery (ACR) with an accuracy of 0.2 ppm and a maximum wander of 0.02 ppm/s. No PCR restamping is performed, so that the card can be used without restrictions in SFN applications like DVB-T or transporting TS without PCR (e.g. DVB-H). According to the user configuration a MPEG Reed-Solomon can be added to each TS packet, generating 204 Byte packet size. The MPEG TS is mapped to DVB-ASI using either ASI packet or byte mode. The ASI signal is provided on two outputs. The card can be configured to drop the ASI carrier signal in case of a receive failure to force a connected A-B switch to perform a switchover. The card can be configured using the console port (RS232) or in combination with an installed controller card via the 2 redundant Ethernet. All configuration parameters are stored locally and non-volatile. The entire function of the module is controlled by the on-board CPU. The firmware is stored in the on-board Flash memory. The card supports hot-plug and hot-swap according to the Compact-PCI specification. |
