As part of our Series 200 range Microvideo offer basic distribution amp modules. These are reclocking distribution
amps. The have equalisation for up to 300M of high quality co-ax cable (eg. Belden 8281).
The SDA204 module has 4 serial digital re-clocked outputs and the SDA208 has 8 outputs.
These cards are part of the Series 200 and can be mixed in our 1U or 3U frames with other cards in the range
Input:
Serial digital video of all current data rates - 143, 177, 270 and 360 Mb/s
Input has equalisation for up to 300m of cable
Tested throughly with 270Mb/s serial digital component video to EBU Tech. 3267-E,
(SMPTE 259M).
Outputs:
Equalised and reclocked serial output(s) for SDV (270Mb/s).
Output Level : 800mV pp into 75R, DC offset <500mV
Additive jitter <250pS
Adjustments:
None needed for setup or maintance.
On board links allow for manual setting of the data rate frequency.
This over-rides the auto detection feature.
Power :
Both cards consume <2W
Physical:
Eurocard size module (220x100mm) for mounting in Microvideo's 1U and 3U FRAMES.
All inputs / outputs are via a DIN41612 connnector except the SDV in which utilises a
75ohm SMB connector to guarantee performance at long cable lengths.
EDH Option
For systems which use EDH we are able to offer DA's which will encode the EDH sum check packets as defined by
SMPTE RP165. The cards have two modes of operation -
EDH encoding - If the SDV input has no EDH coding on it then an EDH packet is constructed and inserted
EDH checking - If the SDV input has EDH packets present the cards will check to see if errors have occured in the
signal. If they have the relevant error flags are set and a new EDH checksum is calculated. An LED at the front of the
board will indicate that errors are occuring. There is also options to enable GPI contact closure if the error level rises
above a preset level or to enable error reporting to a PC based system. (Consult Microvideo for more details)
