The information includes video source, station ident, VTR control and audio status. It is usually transmitted on line 16 as 15 words. The VPS-DEC decodes the signal from a serial digital video source. The information is in words 2 to 15. The contents of any word may be displayed on the front panel LCD display and also output to GPI pins. Any changes are output on the RS232/422 serial port and may also be logged internally with a real time clock. Any VPS word may be used for general purpose control within a studio. Although lines 16 and 329 are generally used the signal may also be decoded from any VBI line. Line 16 may be blanked on the output. Video Input SDV(270Mb/s) as per SMPTE259M.
