Ever tried to extend a DVI display beyond its 15-foot distance limitation (as per the DVI specification) using just a copper-based DVI cable? It’s likely you saw some sparkles when you connected it at high resolutions—great for a nighttime sky but hardly ideal for your beautiful HD display.

Gefen’s DVI Boosters make it all better by reconditioning the HD signal sent over the long cable, essentially eliminating the video degradation that occurs beyond 15-feet.

A sort of cable companion, the DVI Booster requires no extra power supply, additional wiring or sender and receiver system. It’s an inconspicuous single box solution that makes extending HDTV over copper cables a breeze.

Resolutions up to 1080p or 1920x1200 guaranteed up to 100 feet.

Gefen’s family of Boosters include various hard working little boxes that make HDTV extension through a long cable easy and effective. They are limited in distance at the highest resolutions up to 200 feet.

To go beyond the limited inherent DVI distance or if you’d like to use two or more cables, our Boosters are a perfect option. They replicate digital video signals, enabling you to “daisy chain” cables and Repeaters as far as you need to go.

How it works
This plug and play installation takes mere seconds. You simply connect the extension cable on one side of the DVI Booster and the display’s cable on the other side. The DVI Booster sits between the end of your DVI cable and your display. You also have the option of connecting another DVI cable to the Booster, daisy chaining Boosters and cables for greater distances.

The DVI Booster is HDCP pass-through.

How it works
The DVI CAT-5 Extender sender unit sits next to your computer, DVD player or any set-top box. The cable supplied with the DVI CAT-5 Extender connects your DVI source to the sender. The DVI CAT-5 Extender receiver sits next to your DVI display - up to 150 feet away. The display plugs into the back of the DVI CAT-5 Extender receiver.
