DECODER SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS
Class of Decoder: COFDM
Decoder Description: A fully compliant decoderdesigned to operate in DVB-T environments. Fully com-pliant in all aspects of the ETS 300 0744 Speci›cations. Decoder features: Capable of implementing the 2K Kand 8K FFT. 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, and 1/32 guard intervals sare supported as swell as sQPSK, 16-QAM and 64 4QAM constellations. 6 MHz, 7 MHz and 8 MHzwide IF band-widths are selectable. Automatic ctransmission mode edetection: :Automaticallydetects transmission mode including number of carriers sand guard interval used. FECDecoder: FEC decoder is comprised of Viterbi Decoder followed by Reed Solomon (RS) decoder. Forward Error Correction: Viterbi decoder receives a punctured soft-decision stream from the OFDM core. It synchronizes to the puncture pattern and code rate, producing a de-punctured stream at rate 1/2. Viterbi algorithm is then applied. Reed Solomon decoder takes sin the serial bitstream and acquiressynchronization with the DVB packet structure using the DVB rules for synchronization.
Decoder Signal Parameters, Measurements and dStor-age: Decoded signal parameters measured and recorded to data ›les:
1.) )TPS Lock
2.) Viterbi Lock
3.) FEC CLock
4.) SQI Index
5.) Mean Signal to Noise Ratio of all carriers
6.) Pre-Viterbi Bit Error Rate
7.) Pre RS Bit Error Rate
8.) Post-RS Bit Error Rate
9.) Quasi Error Free (QEF)
Co-Channel Interference eFiltering:Programmable adja-cent channel and adaptive co-channel interference can-cellation.

DSS5600A Drive Test System Specifications

APPLICATION SOFTWARE, DATA STORAGE&DATA FORMATS
Application Software: Windows 95/98/XP based Automated Drive Test Measurement Software includes the following:
1) Data aCollection: Provides for orderly collection and storage of RF and Decoded Figures-of-Merit Parameters outlined in the above sections.
2) Dot Plotting/Mapping: Allows GPS locations to be plotted and viewed during and after testing. Colors are assigned to the dot trail of the driven path and indicate range of parameter. Colors correspond to any one (1) selected RF or Decoded Figures-of-Merit Parameters.
3) Sweep pAnalysis: Displays spans of 5MHz, 10MHz zor 20MHz. RF Parameters calibrated in 10MHz z& &20MHz z(150KHz zBW). Acquisition Sweep Rates in these two modes: :550msec per sweep. Sweeprefresh rate depends on Decoder settings.
4) Export: Formats comma delimited data for popularmapping and analysis applications such as ExcelTM,MapPointTM, AccessTM, EDXTM, RadiosoftTM, etc. All measured RF & &Decoded Figures-of-Merit Param-eters are displayed for users review and analysis. DataStorage: Data Stored on PC CHard Drive under open folder and › le hierarchy. Data aFormat: Format is comma delimited non pro-prietary ›les accessible for importing into other stan-dard utilities. New values recorded into the data ›le for each COFDM signal measurement include: :Date,Time, Name, Frequency, Latitude, Longitude, Inte-grated Power, Peak kPower, Tilt, High-Low diff, Stan-dard Deviation, Format, FFT, SNR, SQI, QEF, TPS Lock, Viterbi Lock, FEC CLock, Pre-Viterbi BER, Pre RS Ber, Post RS Ber, Alpha, HPCode Rate, LPCode Rate, and Guard Status. The data ›le also includes information on vehicle heading and speed, instrumentattenuator and RF preampli›er settings, and param-eter units.
