MEDIAMASTER builds on the latest and revolutionary television and networking technologies bringing to life the complex and dynamic features today needed with absolutely no require of traditional expensive solutions which typically add too many critical parts and configurations increasing the risk of failures and the maintenance costs. Key of content management is the digital storage, scalable and reliable for a real non-stop 7/365 operation.

Each MEDIAMASTER has a built-in digital storage block of up to 7.2 TeraByte based on the latest DISK RAID technologies of both SCSI and SOLID STATE types.

Disks are managed through a special matrix of controllers so the disks are not connected to the same single bus or controller for total security.

In case of need, up to four failed disks are real-time automatically replaced by the four stand-by spare disks located on the back-side of each MEDIAMASTER so the system stays on-line forever without any loss of data possibility.

If a disk fails, take your time and replace the hot-swap red-flashing one when you'll have time.

Operative software, applications and database are installed on a mirrored solid-state disk memory, so failure or maintenance possibilities are practically absent forever.

Multiple MEDIAMASTER units (NODES) can be interconnected through the DUAL REDUNDANT GIGABIT control net port, so a network of servers can be easy created achieving the wanted total storage, workflow, and redundancy.

Each system comes installed with all the software applications, so each MEDIAMASTER is ready to perform as MEDIA ASSET MANAGEMENT, CENTRAL STORAGE UNIT, ON-AIR PLAYOUT, STREAMING SERVER, VOD Video On Demand Server, automated import/export from any third party system and software, or all of them at the same time.

A built-in Multicast/Unicast streaming service and php server allows publishing of ip streaming content and EPG interactive program guide to any IP network, delivering a complete live and on-demand service to unlimited IP set top boxes with also PAY-TV and PAY-PER-VIEW e-commerce integration capabilities.

Operators can easy access their password-enabled features through any terminal on the IP network, so upload / download contents, schedule any operation, manage add insertions, manage billing, playlists, logos & graphics, automated recording processes, import-export data, and many other task are just matter of a click.

Each operator terminal can be also fitted with special PCI Electronic boards such as SD/HD encoders and decoders, ASI I/O, VTR control ports, and others to perform any type of ingest and control without the need of wiring all things down to the servers but via the TCP-IP network.

Up to 20 hardware slots are available on the back-side of MEDIAMASTER unit to accommodate different types of electronic expansions needed where physical PLAY, REC or CONTROL are locally required.

The MEDIAMASTER HD/SD Content Management Solution

Depending from your application, selected or all software modules can be activated granting the wanted level of access and control to the different operators through standard logins.

Each MEDIAMASTER unit can be controled by one or multiple main consolles connected via the IP network.

Multiple operators can install a license of the MEDIACONTROL software on their local computers, then login and work to the wanted server doing the allowed tasks.

MEDIAMASTER has also built in import/export programmable engines to interconnect to any existing third-party software as billing, scheduling, editing, etc.., allowing the wanted grade of integration with any existing plant or workflow.

CAPTURE
One single MEDIAMASTER unit runs up to 3 simultaneous SD/HD captures to disk done by manual or automated events.

STREAM
One single MEDIAMASTER runs up to 50 HDTV ip streaming Televisions @ 15 megabit/s each ( more at lower bitrates ), or Hundreds of SD TV over a single Gigabit network in both multicast and unicast modes to accommodate any IP-TV or VOD Video On Demand application, including all the EPG and ITV services.

MANAGE
One Single MEDIAMASTER unit comes installed with full-featured MEDIACONTROL software, so there's no need to buy additional packages and integration from third-party companies. Operators can access the MEDIAMASTER server from their local computers by installing one or more licenses of MEDIACONTROL software, then following the set access rules.

If the three built-in capture channels each MEDIAMASTER has are not enough, or signals are far from the server, multiple MEDIACAPTURE & MEDIALOGGER units can be connected to the IP network, performing automated and on-demand capture operations where the signals are.

MEDIACAPTURE is a stand-alone HD/SD network capture unit which can install up to 3 HD/SD input boards performing scheduled and on-demand captures from local sources directly to the selected MEDIAMASTER storage on the network.
Multiple MEDIACAPTURE units can be set on the network, with each one ability to control a local MATRIX SWITCHER making it possible to automatically select different sources at the capture inputs following the schedules.

MEDIALOGGER supports up to 4 simultaneous HD/SD captures with local storage and database, participating to the networked Media Asset Management pool.
The typical application of MEDIALOGGER units is to automatically record incoming feeds to their local storage, so the operators can browse, choose, trim, review and edit contents then transfer only selected parts to wanted MEDIAMASTER servers for following distributions and playbacks.

MEDIAcontrol - Broadcast Control Suite
