The VA6822 is a system interface designed to allow the connection of a computer video source to a scan-rate compatible monitor or projector. It is compatible with VGA thru UXGA, MAC, SUN, SGI, and other analog computer video sources.

With 16-position equalization controls for the Red, Green, and Blue video components, the VA6822 can compensate for losses caused by long cable runs. When used with super high-resolution coaxial cable, it can equalize cable lengths up to 250 feet.

The VA6822 uses a 15-pin HD input that is compatible with standard VGA cables. The VA6822 offers two buffered outputs: a main output on 6 BNC connectors that provides RGBHV, RGBS, or RGsB type signals, and an output on a 15-pin HD connector that is typically used to feed a local monitor. The VA6822 is not designed to strip sync from green; if the input is RGsB, the output must also be RGsB.

The VA6822 is capable of passing balanced (or unbalanced) stereo audio, offering an input on a 3.5mm stereo mini jack, a local output on a 3.5mm stereo mini jack, and a main output on a 5-pin terminal block type connector.

The VA6822 offers a special remote Horizontal Positioning control feature. This is designed for use with an optional snap-in type connector with a potentiometer and a 6-foot extension cable (ALTINEX model SN1307-HP-B).

Interface cables for the VA6822 must be ordered separately. See Interface Cables and Interface Accessories.
