The VA6804SX is engineered specially for use with ALTINEX products such as the TM1278, or ALTINEX Designer Solutions, including the PNP/TNP/CNK line of tabletop interconnect products. The VA6804SX "remotes" the horizontal positioning control and signal present LED away from the interface, enabling it to be integrated into an input plate through the use of an optional accessory (part# CM11365). This allows the VA6804SX to be installed out of sight while still providing a way of accessing its controls. Note that, for the PNP & TNP series of products, the CM11365 may require custom installation before leaving the factory; please speak with an ALTINEX representative about customization options.

With a continuous, single-dial RGB equalization control that simultaneously boosts the Red, Green, and Blue video components, the VA6804SX can compensate for losses over long cable runs. Using super high-resolution coaxial cable, it can equalize cable lengths up to 200 feet.

This interface offers a 15-pin HD input and an independently buffered 15-pin HD local monitor output. The default output of the VA6804SX is RGBHV on (5) BNC connectors. Alternatively, the VA6804SX can be set to output RGBS or RGsB format signals by changing internal jumper settings. The VA6804SX does not strip sync from green; if the incoming signal is RGsB, the output must also be RGsB. The VA6804SX converts incoming unbalanced audio to balanced and buffered outgoing audio.

The VA6804SX comes with mounting brackets (MB1001) included. Its streamlined enclosure makes it ideal for mounting under a table or to other surfaces. With integrated 3.5mm stereo audio jacks and 15-pin HD male connectors on both ends, the ALTINEX CB9100AV line of interface cables offer a high-quality, convenient connection between the VA6804SX input and the audio and video outputs of a computer.
