A fully-featured 6-In 1-Out Composite Video and Stereo Audio switcher, the MX2436RM is designed for the true audio/visual professional. The MX2436RM allows the connection of up to six video and audio sources to a single video and/or audio destination, such as a display device, VCR or sound reinforcement system.

Selection of the inputs can be made using the built-in front panel or through a control system/computer via RS-232. The MX2436RM is also capable of being operated in auto-switch mode, which allows the switcher to sense and switch to an active video input. Selection of audio signals can be made to either "follow" the video channel or to "break-away" from it. This is made easy using separate banks of buttons on the front panel or through RS-232 control.

The MX2436RM is packed with features such as Video EQ (adjusts the output to compensate for long cable runs), Audio attenuation (for volume control), auto-rotate (allows automatic sequential selection of inputs, a feature that is great for security and other monitoring applications), and VIS switching (with a loopable reference sync input).

All video inputs/outputs are offered on female BNCs and all audio inputs/outputs are offered on 5-pin terminal blocks. All audio channels can handle both balanced and unbalanced stereo or mono audio. The MX2436RM is 1U high, full rack wide and is rack-mountable using supplied hardware.
