The RGB inputs can be composite or non-composite. external
sync is provided as an input for those signals without sync. The
outputs of BETA and Mll are selectable by internal DIP
switches, no adjustments needed. The 3690 also provides a
4Vp-p sync output. The video bandwidth is 30MHz with a
Very short 20nS propagation delay. The 3690 can be used in any
combination with other StarFlex modules.
6160 AUDIO TONE GENERATOR
The 6160 is the most versatile tone generator on the market.
The unit has two fixed outputs of 400Hz and 1KHz and one
front panel switchable output of 400Hz and 1KHz. The 6160 is
designed as a stereo tone source with independent A&B
channel outputs. Either output can be identified by using the
front panel ID to pulse the selected channel. Output levels of
0dBm, + 4dBm or 8dBm is selectable from the front panel.
Harmonic distortion is less than 0.06% for all outputs.
6500 AUDIO DISTRIBUTION AMPLIFIER, 1 x 6
The 6500 accepts a balanced differential or unbalanced single
ended input and provides six balanced outputs, each with its
own ground. A front panel switch routes the audio to two
internal monitoring busses. The 6500 will drive all outputs into
a dead short without damage, or PS over-load. An LED front
panel fault indicator warns of improper operation. Gain range is ¡¾14dB.
6550 AUDIO DA, STEREO 1 x 4, MONO 1 x 8
The 6550 precision audio DA is four outputs stereo or eight
outputs mono. The frequency response is +.05dB, 20Hz to
20KHz. The input is balanced bridging, but can be terminated
into 150 ohms. The output impedance is 66 ohms. Two LED
indicators are located on the front panel to show output limiting.
Gain range is ¡¾ 16dB.
3120 MASTER TIMEBASE MODULE FOR CRS
The primary purpose of the 3120 is to generate CRS and supply it to
the fame buss and output connector. When the front panel
Internal/External switch is in the ¡®INT¡¯ position, the unit performs its
primary function. When the 'EXT' position is selected, CRS must be
provided externally. The 'EXT' CRS selection provides for multiple
frames to be locked together. The heart of the 3120 is a temperature
compensated Voltage controlled crystal oscillator (TCVCXO) whose
TTL compatible output has a nominal center frequency of
14.318180MHz. The oscillator will remain stable with no need for
adjustment for at least ten years. Only one 3120 can be used in the
same frame.
3125 BLACKBURST TO CRS TRANSLATOR
The StarFlex 3125 is designed to translate an RS-170A blackburst
signal to CRS. The CRS output is fed to the frame motherboard and
to the output connector on the rear panel. An internal jumper
removes CRS from the frame motherboard. The 3125 translates
blackburst into CRS to supply any Link Electronics CRS based timing
and test generator modules. When used in conjunction with any CRS
module, your are able to advance or delay your system by the
amount of timing specified by the timing module.
3140 PULSE TIMING, EXTERNAL CRS
The 3140 receives external CRS through the rear panel looping BNC
connectors. All drive pulses are provided on the rear panel
connectors. Burst Flag is standard, although Color Field ID can be
substituted for BF. The 3140 also supplies CRS to the frame
motherboard for distributions to other modules requiring CRS for
system lock. Horizontal timing and Subcarrier phase are controlled
from the front panel. An on-board oscillator ensures output continuity
in the event of a loss of CRS.
3150 BLACKBURST TIMING, EXTERNAL CRS
The 3150 receives external CRS through the rear panel looping BNC
connectors. Two blackburst signals are provided on the rear panel
BNC connectors. The 3150 also supplies CRS to the frame
motherboard for distributions to other modules requiring CRS for
system fork. Horizontal timing and Subcarrier phase are controlled
from the front panel. An on-board oscillator ensures output continuity
in the event of a loss of CRS.
3210 COLOR BAR BLACKBURST GENERATOR
The 3210 receives CRS internally through the motherboard or
externally through looping BNC connectors. The 3210 outputs two
signals of FULL FIELD, SPLIT-FIELD, SMPTE BARS or
BLACKBURST. A key feature is front panel horizontal system timing
of the signals. Chroma phase is fixed to RS-170A specifications. A
front panel LED shows the presence of CRS for system lock
3220 SAFE TITLE & CROSS HATCH GEN.
The 3220 receives CRS internally through the motherboard or
externally through looping BNC connectors. The 3220 outputs two
signals of CROSS HATCH PATTERN, HORIZONTAL BARS, DOTS,
or SAFE TITLE/SAFE ACTION. A key feature is a horizontal system
timing control for the convenience of accurately timing the signal into
the system. A front panel LED shows the presence of CRS for
system lock.
3230 MULTIBURST, MULTIPULSE & T PULSE
The 3230 receives CRS internally through the motherboard or
externally through looping BNC connectors. The 3230 outputs two
signals of MULTIBURST 100% AND 50%, MULTI PULSE, T/2T and
12.5T. A key feature is front panel horizontal system timing of the
signals. Chroma phase is fixed to RS-170A specifications. A front
panel LED shows the presence of CRS for system lock.
3240 STAIRSTEP GENERATOR
The 3240 receives CRS internally through the
motherboard or externally through looping BNC
connectors. The 3240 outputs two signals of 10 STEP
NON-MODULATED, 5 STEP NON-MODULATED, 10
STEP MODULATED or 5 STEP MODULATED. A key
feature is front panel horizontal system timing of the
signals. Chroma phase is fixed to RS-170A
specifications. A front panel LED shows the presence of
CRS for system lock.
3250 GHOST CANCELLATION REFERENCE GEN.
The 3250 generates the GCR signal to be placed on line
19 of a video signal. A switch on the front panel selects
full field or line 19 GCR signal. The 3250 is locked to the
internal CRS signal or it can be locked to an external
CRS. The 3125 will allow the GCR signal to be locked to
and external black burst signal. Up to eight 3250's may
be operated in the same frame.
3260 NTC-7, MULTIBURST AND SWEEP
The 3260 receives CRS internally through the
motherboard or externally through looping BNC
connectors. The 3260 outputs two signals of NTC-7
COMP-1, NTC-7 COMP-2, MULTIBURST 100%, or
4.2MHz SWEEP. A key feature is front panel horizontal
system timing of the signals. Chroma phase is fixed to
RS-170A specifications. A front panel LED shows the
presence of CRS for system lock.
3410 PULSE TIMING, INTERNAL CRS
The 3410 receives internal CRS through the 3000 frame
motherboard. All drive pulses are provided on the rear
panel connectors. Burst Flag is standard, although Color
Field ID can be substituted for BF. Up to eight timing
modules can be used in the same frame for the
convenience of timing large systems. H. timing and SC
phase are controlled from the front panel. An onboard
oscillator ensures output continuity in the event of a loss
of CRS.
3521 VIDEO DISTRIBUTION AMPLIFIER, 1X8
The 3521 is an excellent video DA for all distribution
requirements. The bandwidth is 30MHz, without
equalization and clamp. Delay propagation trim of 6¡Æ is a
front panel control. Gain range is front panel controlled
over a range of ¡¾3dB. The rear cell has looping input and
provides eight outputs. The rear cell concept allows a
mixture of any combination of 3000 and 6000 series
modules. The system can grow as large as your
imagination allows. Hundreds of timing modules can be
used with ease.
3550 VIDEO DISTRIBUTION AMPLIFIER, 1 x 8
The 3550 video DA is a precision high-linearity
distribution amplifier that distributes eight outputs. The
3550 has a video bandwidth of 30MHz. Equalization is
front panel controlled and is a standard feature along with
feedback clamp. Delay propagation trim of 6 degrees is
a front panel control. Gain range is ¡¾3dB. A number of
video and audio distribution amplifiers may be used in the
same frame for system flexibility.
3680 TRANSCODER, BETA TO RGB
